Pilgrim History Club is back and open to everyone! You don’t need to be a history buff to have fun. This club meets every other week on Wednesdays in room 605 with Mr. Costello!

So, what is the Pilgrim History Club? Run by Autumn Cardarelli and I, each meeting begins with a fun, handmade history game. Games range from Timeline Scramble to Who said it? Historical Figure Edition, with plenty of other ideas in between. Members are also encouraged to suggest their own games and activities!

“Initially, I joined pilgrim’s history club out of respect for the late captain of my sports team, who ran it himself.” Says Lucas Falandys, second year member of the History club. “Over the course of the first year however, I fell in love with the idea and progress of the club. I can’t wait to be part of the next step for its future.”

The club’s main mission is to carry on the legacy of 2025 Pilgrim graduate Sean Skinnard, by informing and exciting students about Pilgrim’s history. To accomplish this, members will help create a monthly Pilgrim History Newsletter featuring faculty highlights, alumni stories, a “Then vs. Now” section, and occasional seasonal features!

During meetings, members will be encouraged to collaborate on researching and writing these newsletters, which we hope to publish every month in Pilgrim’s The Black and White.

“I want our history club to become something that everyone can enjoy whether they love history or not,” says Autumn Cardarelli, Pilgrim History Club Co-President. “It’s about being connected with our school’s past, present, and future, while having fun at the same time.”

Club Social Media Managers Lucas Falandys and Will McColl

This year, the history club plans to engage its members through fun games, competitions, and interesting research. If you love to play games, learn about history, show off your knowledge, apply creativity, research, or even look at old yearbook pictures, this is the club for you!

Members can also suggest content ideas for our Instagram page @pilgrim_history_club, run by Will McColl and Lucas Falandys!

If any of this sounds appealing, bring your friends and stop by room 605 on the next Wednesday we meet! We’ll be in touch through announcements.
