As Pilgrim’s class of 2026 wraps up their final moments of high school, they enjoy all the fun parts they have worked so hard to deserve. A straight week of senior activities was the exact break they needed before a week of exams, final projects, and graduation.
Every year Mrs. Boudreau organizes a very key event for Pilgrim’s seniors. Monday started off at over seventy degrees where the seniors spent the entire school day outside, drawing all over the school’s sidewalks with chalk. This year’s theme was Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon where each group chose a specific television show or cartoon that they had to design with chalk, using different shading techniques and coloring methods. Drawing with chalk is not easy but these seniors make it look that way every year. Once each group finishes, the rest of the school comes outside to vote on which drawing they liked the most–this year’s winners include: a tie for third place with Henry Danger by Ashton Pike, Georgia Cagle, and Moony Nava and The Patrick Star Show by Kara Mello and Rylie Girourard, second place with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Zack Tate, Tristan Emund, Brody Carmody, Cameron Marshall, Matt Kenney, and Matt Amitrano, and finally first place with Adventure Time by Frankie Sousa, Marcella Leberon, Cameron Gavitt, Rory Kelleghan, and Victoria Hawkins.
Tuesday began even hotter than Monday, getting beyond eighty degrees outside. The seniors also spent this day outside, celebrating their “final recess”. Recess always seemed like the best part of school when these seniors were kids, making this day a perfect final moment. This field day held numerous games like frisbee, corn hole, and spike ball–also including several other things brought by the students such as music, snacks, and lacrosse. Tuesday reminded seniors of their younger selves, fulfilling a part of their childhood as it comes to an end.
Wednesday allowed Pilgrim’s graduating seniors to spend more time with their favorite teachers, even helping them with chores within the classrooms. Every year, every teacher at Pilgrim has the opportunity to “rent” out any students of their choice, raising money for the school. This rent-a-senior event qualifies as a fundraiser, provides help to teachers, and allows students to spend more time giving their final thanks and goodbyes.

Thursday was considered as one of the most significant events in a high school senior’s career across all four years–senior prom. The class of 2026 executive committee has worked constantly all year to find unique fundraisers and organize several events that all worked to make prom more affordable and efficient. Because of them, the senior prom this year was only $25 per ticket, was held at a gorgeous venue, and provided a variety of foods and drinks. Kirkbrae Country Club on Thursday night was filled with dancing, numerous photos, and significant memories–with expensive gowns and accessories to make a night these students won’t forget.

To end off the week, most seniors decided to spend the Friday after a long night, off from school–spending the day resting or engaging in a variety of activities before they come back for exams.
Pilgrim’s class of 2026 has worked consistently over the past twelve years, constantly proving how much they deserved this fulfilling week of enjoyment. Every homework assignment, test, and extracurricular has led to these final experiences where they will then move on to even greater achievements.
