On Wednesday, January 14th, fifteen students rocked the stage and sang their hearts out in the annual Pilgrim Idol singing competition. The judges, Mrs. Boudreau, Mr. Callahan, and Mr. Millette were blown away by all the talent, and since it was a fundraiser for the music department, everyone was able to call this night a success!

Every contestant was guaranteed to sing one song in the first round, with five people moving onto the second round. The judges recognized the talent of each contestant, giving compliments and critiques to each person before choosing four people to move on to the next round. The fifth person was chosen by the crowd, moving on as the fan-favorite. The five people to make it into the second round were Bridget Pouliot, Envie Almgren, Isabella Alves, Kyra Nava, and Sam Norcini. After they sang their second song, the crowd had the opportunity to vote for the winner of Pilgrim Idol.

Anticipation ran high with everyone wondering who would be announced as the victor. In the end, Bridget Pouliot went home with the title of runner-up, with Isabella Alves coming in first place overall.

Throughout the competition, the judges brought a sense of humor and wisdom, providing the audience with great entertainment and the students with motivation and ways to improve. Mrs. Soares, Mrs. Watterson, the judges, Mr. Denningham and the AV club, and Mr. Reed all filled their roles beautifully, with the program running smoothly and efficiently. The night could not have been better, bringing excitement and suspense for next year’s Pilgrim Idol.
