This holiday season, Pilgrim is buzzing with spirit and goodwill. With winter break right around the corner, students and faculty alike are counting down the days to the most magical time of year. In the season of giving, Pilgrim has decided to take it to heart by holding an assortment of holiday drives.

In order to fund their senior prom and banquet, Pilgrim’s class of 2026 has been running a drive for clothing, books, and small appliances such as toys, lamps, etc. All donations made will be given to Savers. In order to make a profit, they are receiving 25 cents per pound of clothes and 10 cents per pound of small appliances. Donations can be dropped off in room 704, or one of the executive committee members will even go to your car to pick it up!

Furthermore, Mr. Sangiovanni’s Urban Sociology class has been participating in a drive to aid families struggling during the holiday season. Through the Adopt a Patriot fundraiser, Ms. Bernardi has raised money to buy essentials for various families. Wrapped gifts containing various household items have been donated to 41 families and 115 children. In total, they’ve supplied 460 gifts, the largest number they’ve seen so far! In addition to household items, the families have also received gift cards from the money that was left over. This great act of kindness has benefited so many homes and provided them with hope during the season.

Lastly, the sophomore class of 2028 has been holding a Christmas card drive in order to give back to the community. Students have been hard at work during advisory, writing and decorating cards for the citizens of Pilgrim’s senior center. With the holiday season upon us, it’s a great way to spread cheer and brighten someone’s day. Drop-offs can be made in 608 or the guidance office to spread well wishes and holiday happiness!
