On Monday October 20, the Pilgrim Girls Soccer team celebrated their senior night for their two seniors Taylor Mooney and Ainsley Ottilige. The ceremony started with a walkout with the senior’s parents and player. Underclassmen made signs and posters filled with pictures and memories of their time on the team.

The game ended with a well fought but unfortunate loss for the pilgrim team, ending their season. The ending score was 0-4, but goalie, Mikayla Stephenson did an amazing job at blocking numerous attempted goals with help from her fellow players on defense.

After the game, the team celebrated their senior night with speeches from Emma Rattigan and gifts from the entire team. Although the season did not go as expected for the girls, they still ended it with a positive attitude. When asked about how the seniors thought the season went, Taylor Mooney exclaims that “I didn’t think we would form such strong bonds given the low number of players.” Ainsley Ottilige adds on to that by saying “I didn’t expect everyone to stay positive and motivated throughout the season.” Both seniors are sad to say goodbye but from this experience on the Pilgrim soccer team they formed life long friendships and memories they will never forget.
