The Pilgrim Winter Chorus Concert, under the direction of Mrs. Soares was absolutely enchanting on Thursday, December 12th.
The concert opened with a brief “Thank You” to everyone in the audience and a recognition of how far everyone has come in the chorus program. Over a third of the group got into All-State Chorus and two, Allie Cameron and Addison Eaton, got into the ACDA All-Nationals Honor Choir for which thousands of people interview from all across the country. Addison Eaton and Allie Cameron will both be going to Dallas, Texas in the springtime.

There was another “Thank you” to Ethan Smitherman who did the audio mixing and Isaac Ou, who did the lights.
The chorale started the concert with The Wassail Song, Bidi Bom, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen – their chemistry and harmony were excellent and got everyone pumped up. The soloists were up next with their own songs. Alexandra Howlett sang a jazz favorite, Dream A Little Dream of Me, Savannah Pacheco sang a beautiful and festive Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Kamryn Gavin sang a powerful and cozy cover of It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas.

The rest of the Pilgrim Chorus was up, and sang songs like Jazz Gloria and Hanukkah Tonight. For the last song, every past Chorus alumni was invited on stage to sing Hallelujah Chorus with the rest of the current chorus in a very magical moment. The stage was not only full physically but also emotionally, everyone looked like they had a fun time performing!
Mrs Soares spoke about the production: “It was fantastic … The whole production was fantastic… My favorite part was when everyone from previous years got on stage, some of them in their own music profession.”

Mr. Hervieux accompanied the chorus playing not only the piano, but percussion as well. Kailani Cannao, a chorus member said: “He’s a really amazing guy, we are so thankful for him, we really love him.”. Mr. Hervieux and Mrs. Soares helped create a spectacular and very memorable show.
