Do you have a passion for comic books?
Ten Pilgrim students did, and they created a club for their common interests.
With the help of faculty advisor Mrs. Mixner, the club meets weekly during advisory. “My favorite part is seeing the kids have fun and helping them bring their ideas to life,” says Ms. Mixner. Fellow teacher Mrs. Sanzi also lends a hand, providing guidance and resources to the club members.

Each student brings their own unique talents and interests to the table when working on different kinds of comics. “I think it’s nice here,” says member Ella M., citing that she enjoys the opportunity to work on her project with a close-knit and supportive community. Students are working on everything from recreating existing comics, to creating one entirely drawn by hand in a sketchbook, and all are incredibly creative.
This club gives students a dedicated time and space to work on their projects. “[It’s] great sharing ideas,” says club president Ramon M.

If this sounds like something you could see yourself as a part of, consider stopping by and seeing what the club has to offer firsthand. Perhaps you’ll find the place for you.
