Trunk or Treat is held every year in the school parking lot a few days before Halloween. It’s a fundraiser for the Art Department, being held and run by art teacher Heather Place and the Art Club. The community loves the event, not only because of the Trunk or Treat, but also the games.

Trunk or Treat is what it sounds like – themed trunks of cars set up by Pilgrim students, giving out candy – which is what every little kid would want. The littles can get even more candy before Halloween, stacking up the parent’s closet. Local Warwick residents came by to support and donate to the Art Department, while their kids went around dressed up in costumes and collecting candies from the Trunks.
They also have games to play such as bowling, bingo, an art station for the little ones, and a raffle. All families enjoy seeing the older kids interact with the little ones, it’s a good way for the littles to look up to the older kids as role models. For a snack other than candy, food like popcorn, donuts, and hot chocolate were also being sold at concession stands which also makes the Pilgrim Trunk or Treat unique. The five-core volunteers that helped make Trunk or Treat happen were Camryn Gavitt, Ava Cabral, Molly Gervais, Skyla Hotaling, and Dante Chase.

The Art Department and the club appreciate everyone who decorated and participated in Trunk or Treat, and a special thanks to the community for the donations and showing up.
