On Saturday, September 28 the class of 2026 hosted a ‘Touch a Truck’ event and it was AWESOME! ‘Touch a Truck’ is an event where you can interact with first responders and truck drivers, as well as their cars. There were many fire trucks, police cars, and tons of other vehicles. The event was a fundraiser to bring in money for the Junior prom and other events.

Mr. SanGiovanni, who teaches History, attended the event with his son Luca, who is a freshman at the school, and he said “We have had a great time here, especially with the fire trucks.”

There was free popcorn at the event donated by The Ninety-Nine restaurant and it was delightful, all of the help was volunteered, the trucks, the drivers, and the students vending the popcorn. All the volunteers helped to make a great day great.

Mrs. Mather, the class of ‘26 advisor, spoke about the event. “It’s about bringing the community together and fundraising at the same time,” She continued by talking about how it has become increasingly difficult to raise funds and these larger events usually have better turnouts. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and we bet you would too!

So go out and support the school at the next event!
